At the Center for Comprehensive Maxillofacial Care and Smile Design Center, our mission is to offer patients a wide variety of state-of-the art options to meet all of their dental needs. Our procedures are performed in a comfortable, state-of-the-art facility and our doctors perform innovative treatments based on each patient’s needs.
Our office staff works to build strong relationships with our patients and our team is trained to deliver superior dental care at reasonable prices. Our goal is to strive for comprehensive oral health, while creating beautiful smiles and satisfied patients.

Background
The Comprehensive Maxillofacial Care and Smile Design Center seeks to be a world-class interdisciplinary group practice comprised of general dentists and dental specialists in all areas of dentistry. Formerly known as Dr. Kaigler and Associates, our new name, “Comprehensive Maxillo-facial Care and Smile Design Center” appropriately denotes the scope of the dentistry we practice and the array of services we provide. In order to appreciate our philosophy regarding oral healthcare, it is helpful to have an understanding of changes that have occurred within the dental profession in recent years. With the evolution of dentistry over the past 5-10 years, there has been a paradigm shift in the way in which dentistry is and should be practiced.
The days are long over where the focus was on treating teeth instead of treating people. Treating people has always been the philosophy of Dr. Kaigler, Sr.; however, with the ever-changing trends and advances in technology in this new era, it is imperative that innovative ideas, new philosophies, and creative thought emerge to augment this existing philosophy. Our mission is to be the leading provider of oral health care and dental services in the Detroit metro area by maintaining highly trained clinicians and staff and providing first-class customer service.

The IDT Concept
To this end, the Center has incorporated and will continue to recruit talented individuals with specialty training in various disciplines of dentistry, namely oral-maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry and endodontics. These doctors have been highly trained at the top institutions around the country and provide not only clinical expertise in their areas but also a wealth of knowledge in the latest technological advances and research initiatives in their respective disciplines.
In addition, this group of specialists and general dentists is complemented by physicians who have expertise in plastic surgery, otolaryngology. A group of this dynamic composition is necessary in order to create the “Inter-Disciplinary Treatment” (IDT) concept. This approach to the provisions of oral health care enables the Center to be truly comprehensive in its treatment of oral and maxillofacial health care needs.
In addition, this group of specialists and general dentists is complemented by physicians who have expertise in plastic surgery, otolaryngology.
